In this case, DSP Sushil Kumar was arrested by Vigilance, while SI and Mahant Malkit Das surrendered before Vigilance and court respectively. Now the remaining two accused, SP and Jassi Contractor, also surrendered on Tuesday.

Faridkot's then IG Pradeep Kumar Yadav is also embroiled in controversy in the bribery case of Rs 20 lakh. Since Mahant Malkit Das, named in this case, has been made a government witness, he had revealed in the statement recorded in the court that this bribe was not collected in the name of the IG but with his consent. On the basis of this statement, the Vigilance Bureau is preparing to take action against the IG.
